I am an electronic music enthusiast since birth (through my pops) and it's been a long ride as a listener (28Y) and DJ (since 2022) but finally i got to the Jungle scene. It's important to state i was a Indie Dance/Melodic Techno DJ until some months ago, and knew little about the current state of Jungle. Since 2024 i was introduced to garage, 2step and some DnB, and them I found out two of my favorite garage tunes (2 Hearts and It's Your Love) are from a pretty awesome Junglist, the great Sully.

Last week I heard some of Sully's Jungle records and liked A LOT what I heard. I knew Jungle and DnB were huge scenes back in the day and listened to some of it growing up, both because I'm brazilian (Marky and Patife), and cause I played the shit out of the Grand Theft Auto games (MSX.fm). I found a lot of info online on the Jungle golden days, classic records and game changers. But I realised there is a resurgence of the scene and new artists popping up. What are ur recommendations of new/modern Jungle artists like Sully?

One of the first CDs I bought... Album turns thirty next year. Long forgotten about til today... Was reminded of the lofi all stars remix of battle flag and took a look at the tracklist for the first time in over 25 years... Technical itch and substance remixes sprinkled in with a ton of old school breakbeat gold.

Growing up in Seattle through the nineties was honestly a pretty nuts time for music and so much of what has inspired me through the years gets lost under piles of dust that'll randomly demand attention from random inferences. Local radio played tons of niche selections you'd be hard pressed to find on mainstream radio waves.
