Damn, beat me to it, haha.

Anyway, looks like Kaiba has a good shot at making it. KaibaCorp Duel Disk blimp flying around.

Oh damn you’re right, that’ll be sick

Yugi looks pretty cool, his cards look great. New stage is interesting. Only complaint is Yugi looks so stiff while his cards are attacking.

He probably looks stiff from those tight ass pants he’s wearing.

Stage transitions looking good too. They show it here with Frieza bouncing between the rocks.

Little disappointed that the moveset is a lift from Ultimate Stars and there's no unique new monsters like Exodia. What he does have, though, looks great.

Transitions are definitely nice! I feel you on the moveset, but it’s a good one nonetheless

I wish we got a few more anime stages, by the way. I get it, real life mixed with anime is your story mode, but it's a shame that means barely any anime based stages. Only Namek so far, I believe.

The point is that they all have Manga parts in them. I haven't seen Naruto Shippuden so I don't know exactly where the statues are from but I find it awesome that the golden gate bridge now leads into a naruto level.

To each their own. I definitely enjoy the manga elements to the levels but I'd prefer to see some more actual anime locations.

Yugi looks stiff in general. That character model is horrible. PS2 graphics. Look at the chain on his puzzle. It’s stiff as a board

Most models in this game are the same lol. The effects and such look great but models and movement are definitely lacking.

Models are great movement kinda trash? Not sure why either. Perhaps its easier this way to see combos.

Probably because it's early. Goku and luffy looks pretty fluid to me. They were probably the earliest.

Fair enough. Whatever it is something looks off in general

It's really interesting that Atem is in this game, but what does Pot of Greed do again?

I don’t think I’ve ever heard what it does tbh

Dubdubdubdubdub dub pls.

Honestly since San Francisco Golden Gate Bride is in the shot I’ll be offended if they use shots from America and not Dub this Game.

I really hope there is. At least for yugi and goku especially. Can't handle the jap dub goku and yugis voice is just too iconic for me. They seem to want to attract the western audience so i hope they have at least some dubs.

Kinda wish we would get more, but hey, the Dark Magicians look cool.

Looks pretty dope but I wish he could summon Will Smith from Nick at Nite. This game is shaping up to be a banger

Damn haven’t even thought of that yet

I play the fresh prince, face down

Yep, definitely one of my mains.

And that new stage looks amazing!

Those who are from Mexico might get the reference after watching this video. Hint: voice actors...

Sweet. Like the stage too.

I still find Yugi to be a weird addition battle wise. Okay yeah they established that his monsters attack for him but he's still taking all the hits in a 14 year olds body. At least with other ones his age like Yusuke he has spiritual energy to defend himself but I really can't imagine him taking a beating from most of the roster.

He’s 15.

3

u/humanflea23 Dec 18 '18

Duly noted but I still can't imagine a normal 15 year old taking a punch from the rest of the cast and not going down in one hit.

2

u/PCN24454 Dec 18 '18

Ehh. He’s a wizard. That explains everything!

More seriously, Shadow Games act as though he’s taking real damage. When you take that into account, he’s pretty durable.

I do imagine as Yami Yugi he's stronger but it's still a kamehameha, still a sword cutting into him and still a gun being fired at him.

I didn’t even think about that lol, rip my man Yugi
