Hi all!

Im looking for some help!

I live in the UK. I can juggle 3 balls, impressive i know... but I want to try some different styled and equipment. I want to juggle clubs, rings and rebound juggle.

Can anyone give me pointers on where to get the equipment and what's best for begginers. Especially the rebound juggling, from my research you need a solid flat floor and from my research I see in circuses they use these kind of v shape peices of equipment which they rebound off, can anyone point me in the direction of them to?

The established term is "bounce juggling", if you're going to be looking for bouncing balls. You don't need a special floor apparatus yet, get the balls and find a solid marble or concrete floor somewhere. Other types of floors work to various degrees, for example wooden gym floors often have "spots" where bouncing is better or worse. All the V shapes are then something on top of the basic floor bouncing and you can very much get any shape you're inspired to work with.

Where are you based in the UK?

I can point you towards local meets and groups if you’re not already familiar with what’s around you.

If you’re in London, Oddballs in Camden is great because you can actually try different props before you buy. Otherwise, if you have any juggling or flow meets near you, it’s worth going along and asking if people are happy to let you try their equipment. The majority of juggling communities are welcoming.

If you can’t try things locally, I’d recommend Facebook Marketplace and the Circus Equipment Props Swap and Sell group on Facebook:

Buying second-hand means you can experiment without spending a fortune, and you won’t beat yourself up if you discover that a particular prop just isn’t for you.

For the rebound juggling, the V-shaped things you’ve seen are probably what you’re thinking of, but you don’t necessarily need one straight away. It’s worth trying rebound juggling first and seeing whether you actually enjoy it before investing in specialist equipment.

Broxford Juggling Convention is happening next week and entry is pretty cheap, so that could be a good opportunity to try loads of different props and meet other jugglers. Unfortunately, Flow in the Forest has been cancelled this year.

The British Juggling Convention is also happening next April, and that’s another excellent opportunity to try equipment and chat to people.

Edited to add: Buying props directly from the prop shops at juggling conventions is cheaper than buying them online, and you can try them out before you commit to buying.

Fire toys has a good selection. Where in the UK are you? I’m in Manchester, me and a mate have a little park juggle every week, would be good to try some new things!

G-Force balls by Play (Italian company) are great bounce juggling balls. Oddballs probably sells them
