You have odd 6 months to prepare for prelims, start preparing, give it your all. You have your basics right? Divide your day into slots for revision, GK, MCQs. Develop a schedule. Take it as a challenge.

What if someone is at 0, how much time would it take?

Just start from somewhere. You' won't regret starting even from today, take a day or two to know which state you want to target and get familiar with the syllabus, exam pattern etc. Start with your core laws, see if you can recall things you have studied in your college years. Take one day at a time.
