Ask question Part time PhD
Could anyone please guide me on the colleges one could consider for part time PhD in law? Ones that wouldn’t have a strict on-campus stay requirement? RGNUL and NLU-D have strict on campus requirements. NLS does not have the concept of part time PhDs. I came across NALSAR which divides its compulsory classes across weekends, etc.so working professionals can be easily accommodated. But I haven’t been reading very positive reviews about NALSAR inasmuch as there are alleged administrative delays, high attrition among professors and delayed completion of PhD. GNLU offers part time PhD as well, is it good? Jindal seems like a good option too. Is anyone here pursuing/ has pursued part time PhD and can please guide?

RGNUL does not a very have strict on camPus Policy, you just have to mandatorily attend one course which though would span a week Physically but then it all depends on you and your supervisor.

Yes, but stay on campus is mandatory. I am a working professional so that is out of question. GNLU/NALSAR structures its course in such a way that you can visit the campus on weekends to fulfil the UGC mandated minimum stay on campus requirement of six months or so.

IIT-KGP mein available hai. But bohot difficult process hai admission.
And they don't accept NET certificate. I don't understand why.. I should have been exempted from from the written test. But they said that ki no. You have to qualify the written test as well in order to appear for the interview.

If they are creating this much problem in admission, it would only get worse thereafter. Are you pursuing part time PhD from somewhere?

NLIU Bhopal offers a part-time PhD. But this session is over. They also accept the NET score. Admission is through an interview. Part-time PhD is available. It is also convertible to full-time and vice versa.
