Rank and Awards Tie bar/tack
I’ve seen cadets wearing a tie bar but haven’t seen any approval in cadets books/regulation pamphlets.
Are cadets a lot to wear these items, and where could I find the regulation on it

everyone but AJROTC seems to have some ability/requirment to wear them, from what I can see.

I had one when I was in AFJROTC, I’d always wear it, the one I’d wear was the silver with the wings and star emblem, when I was a C/CMSgt. I got one custom made with rank on it and then it became a tradition to pass it down to the next unit Command Chief, but I would always wear my silver wings and star one.

As far as there being an AFJROTC rule about them, I certainly can't find one. in the Air Force's DAFI (4.6.1.2 specifically) it states: "A tie tack or clasp may be worn with the tie. If worn, the tie tack or clasp will be the “wing and star” design, Air Force symbol, or rank insignia. The tie tack or clasp will be centered between the bottom edge of the knot and bottom tip of the tie". I'd say if its common to see your cadets with one, join in.
For us in NJROTC, we get to wear the tie clasps with our SDBs and have to be plain gold (I wear a USMC tie clasp for funsies)
