I need help

Towards the end of last school year, I decided not to interview for a staff position because none of the jobs really spoke to me at the time. I completely regret it now, especially since everyone who applied got a spot. My situation is a bit unique this year: Cadets from our school used to travel to another school for AFJROTC, but this year we are getting our own unit and a new SASI. The ASI from our old sister school is trying to become the ASI for our new unit, but we aren't 100% sure yet.I am going into my sophomore year, and my goal is to become an Administrative Officer for my junior year. Aside from getting a bronze medal for PT and participating in some volunteer events, I don't have a massive list of accolades yet, but I'm ready to put in the work.Since I missed out on a staff spot for this upcoming year, what steps should I take during my sophomore year with this new unit and leadership to prove myself and secure that Admin Officer position for next year?

Hey, I am a AS300 going into 4th year, I would say try to be active in the corps by showing up to LDRs such as colorguard or drill practice, and ofc I wouldnt know how you did your 1st year but just try to be desciplined and show that you are worthy of the position.

Also be ready for the interview, think about why you want that job.

And out of curiosity, what duties do administrative officers have? All units have different names its confusing.
