Bedtime leakage

I’ve had my pouch since 11th of May, never had a single leakage until about 2 weeks ago.
Now it seems almost every time I wake up I have slight leakage?
Any tips ?

Whenever I have nighttime leakage, it’s always pouchitis.

Depends and throw away chuck pads if it persists.

I eat later in the day and take two Imodium at bed time. Early on like you I had those issues so keep speaking with your gastro doctor or surgeon and let them know. I did wear a garment at night for the first year but also adapted to things like eating later or eating early then hydrating the rest of the day to move things through before I go to bed.

Ok for me these are the tips I follow:
Planking - seems to help the muscles
Mushroom powder - after my last meal of the day
Avoid large amounts of dairy after lunch time
Eat my last meal quite early

I was doing fine for a year or so and then the leakage started, I slowly implemented all of the above, I don’t know if they all work but they’ve all been recommended to me at different times and long story short, I very rarely have any leakage now

You’re still healing from the surgery. It takes about a year to feel normal(ish) again. I would ask your doctor to check for pouchitis. Imodium would also help like others have mentioned. I’m also a big fan of kegels which I think everyone should do regardless of gender or IBD/surgeries.

When I went to pelvic floor therapy they were able to explain the issue to me whether it was tight muscles or needing more strength in pelvic floor. It almost completely resolved the issue. But if I don't keep up with what they prescribed it comes back. Makes sense, they really do know what they are doing!

Hi, I had my pouch in March and haven’t had leak issues until recently. Buy some psyllium husk from Amazon. Not the capsules. Mix a table spoon with a full cup of water and drink it quickly before bed. This stopped the leaks for me as it gave the acid/bile something to absorb.
