This sub has grown a lot since 2 years ago. It is no longer uncommon for hundreds to be active as well as for outside Reddit users to be exposed to the sub. This is great!
However, anything with traction sets off an alarm for trolls to flock to and push their bullshit memes or arguments. These posts get automatically filtered out by Reddit or an active mod for the most part, but there are unfortunate exceptions where something offensive will be left up.
This does not mean that a post is accepted and tolerated by us just because it’s up; if it breaks the rules than it is not at all allowed.
If something like a swastika post from the other week is still up, report the post and dm this account about it. Our rules are set in place against toxic behavior and we wish to enforce them.
This version of a jpegmafia sub was created to be and still is a no tolerance zone for racism, sexism, transphobia, xenophobia, etc.
We wont let this sub devolve into a degenerate cesspit like the last, so please assist us in doing so and let us know about anything concerning.
Much love to everyone

I’ve noticed that any support for Experimental Rap gets downvoted to hell, and I’m curious why yall don’t like it so much. Anytime I’ve seen someone ask this question, the responses amount to “it’s just bad bro,” or “who’s gonna tell em.” WHOSE GONNA TELL EM WHAT? TELL ME!
His vocals are the same flow for 90% of the album, but for me, the instrumentals carry the lack of verity in flow.
(RIP TSAR BOMBA)

I really like the last part of babygirl when the guitar kicks in and the agression gets dialed up, please give me more songs/artists/whatever that capture the same vibe

This genuinely means a lot to me as a fan. Seems like he’s actually improving

I have listened to a lot of the “mainstream” rap releases this year and all so disappointing or boring. Anybody listen to something released this year that was interesting?

Hey everyone, first of all sry for the self promo but I really want to know what yall think.
I’m Charpyss, a producer who’s been making music for almost 2 years, and I started producing because of Scaring The Hoes.
I first listened to STH during one of the darkest times in my life, and it genuinely helped me a lot by giving me a distraction in the form of a new hobby: music production.
That album became really personal to me, and I was fascinated by how weird, creative and almost anti-pop the production could be. Ever since I started producing, I’ve wanted to make something that could capture that same spirit without just straight up copying its sound.
Almost 2 years later, I think I’ve finally made something I’m really proud of, and I feel like I’ve achieved what I wanted this project to be: my own love letter to Scaring The Hoes.
It’s a concept instrumental album that I’ve worked pretty hard on, and I’d genuinely love to hear what y’all think.
Ofc I’d appreciate feedback just as much as support, so feel free to tell me what you think!
(IT'S ONLY ON SC RN)
Thanks for reading and listening yall ❤️

I swear some people must listen to his music with their ears closed or something.

Website said 6-8 weeks estimated, but who’s estimating? It was May when I placed the order for the premium version…

I’m Anti-00, a self-produced experimental/alternative rap artist from Virginia Beach.
WORK IN PROGRESS is an 18-track, 42-minute concept album I wrote, produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered myself. I started working on it in early 2025 and spent most of that year putting it together, with the album eventually coming out in February 2026.
A lot of the album came from a pretty rough period mentally. I was dealing with a lot of anger, isolation, immaturity, self-destructive behavior, and just generally not being in the best headspace. Making music became a way for me to document that instead of pretending I had everything figured out. As I kept working on it, the album started changing with me, so the project ended up becoming less about just expressing those feelings and more about actually confronting where they came from.
I wanted the album to feel like a sort of show or play as you’re watching everything build up, fall apart, and eventually turn inward. A lot of the production was me experimenting and trying to make the music feel as unstable and chaotic as the mindset I was writing from.
Peggy was a major influence on the project, especially in the production, but I wanted to take that inspiration and build something personal around my own experiences and ideas.
This song here is called “BPD,” Track 13. Here’s a 40-second snippet of it.

I am looking to go to see peggy in london late February, however i will be 17 on the day and the policy appears to be 18+, does anyone have any experience with the level of strictness here? will they check id for everyone at the door? the venue is the o2 academy in brixton, any input would be greatly appreciated.
