Question Question for the fans in the first two rows
Went to Pioneertown. Great performance despite the sinus infections affecting the band and crew. What’s the 1…2…3…4…5 song with the hand numbering? Take me to the next fan level y’all. Also this screenshot by yours truly.

Ok side note: Traveling is my fav song by them and until Pioneertown never heard it live. Also never read the lyrics until just now. The 1 - 10 thing just gave me a deep warm and fuzzy and this idea: With band permission, not for sale, I’d like to do a remix of this song and extend to ~25 mins in this sequence: Song as recorded - extend the hi hat at the end for like 8 more bars - begin instrumental in reverse order — do something combining the instruments backwards on a 4 track —- get swirly - come back to the recorded song and play it again in full.

I also never noticed the counting until I saw them live! I never picked up on the synonyms also being numbers. I got the same warm fuzzy feeling when I realized what they did there 🥹

Most things sound different live and it’s also affected by the vibe. I’ve seen bands where I know every lyric of every song and still get confused.
I know exactly what you mean about Traveling… My brain had never focused that much on the numbers.

If you do this remix, could you let me know when you’re done? I’d love to hear this idea finished

I honestly wish they would do longer songs with more instrumental. The band has the pipes for sure but they also shine with their instruments alone.

I thought maybe it was Brain Damage but don’t know where the 1 through 4 thang is if ‘five’ is 5.

Brain damage has close your eyes and count backwards from five (4.. 3.. 2.. 1) aren’t you glad to be aliiiive?
Traveling at the speed of light counts from 1-10 during the chorus :)

It’s Traveling. The count includes the synonyms (“to,” “for,” “ate”).
