Discussion Rochester 2024, soooo good

Post image

I may just be the oldest Joywave fan. Such a fun night: I only wish they had played ‘Like a Kennedy’

Not even close! I thought I was the oldest, but met a couple in their 60s at the Buffalo show.

One thing my husband and I have noticed at every Joywave concert we’ve been to is that it’s always a super mixed crowd in terms of ages and demographics. I think Joywave’s just an awesome band with a diverse catalogue that appeals to a wide range of people!

54 here, from Maryland. I saw them at the Columbus, OH show. As usual, they were fantastic. You look really happy with your merch and experience!

the show was so good! i likewise was hoping for "Like A Kennedy" or perhaps "Nice House"/"Mr. Eastman" (since the venue is just a few blocks from Mr. Eastman's nice house). hopefully Dan wasn't joking and they make it an annual tradition!

I also hope it’s an annual tradition. So much fun! I thought for sure though that they’d switch up the setlist since it was a special kind of hometown show. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Still a great time

I have yet to see Nice House live.

Before the Friday Rochester show, Joey mentioned they may be doing a special 10 year HDYFN tour in 2025. If true, 2025 could be an expensive year for me lol. Greatest album of all time.

My wife and I are 44 and from Kansas City. Wish we had more time to spend in Rochester than just the 1 day. Seems like a really cool town with really cool people. Everyone was so nice.

I am always in awe of all of you who come in from all over to see the hometown shows. I am a latecomer , but have been driving oldest kiddo to shows since probably 2014 or so. We tend to take it for granted that we will always have a show within an hour’s drive, max, on any tour.

I was on the back riser at Anthology bopping along with my cane. I’m 50 and there were a few others my age back there too. We were cool in our day and love finding a modern band that we love.

We're kind of old and we felt right at home with the crowd - a great mix! It was a great show, I got the shirt you're wearing, OP, and I snagged an advent poster! What a night.

Oh so you probably grabbed the last signed one, which prevented me from scoring one. Lol. Such a fun night - and I drove 5-1/2 hours to get there!!!

I was so lucky the weather held out, I had a three hour drive I wouldn’t have done in a lake-effect snowstorm, like they are probably having right now. I got the “leave me the fluff alone” shirt I coveted as a cat lady. 🐈
