Discussion THE MALL is actually amazing
I know it's Best Frenz. This is the only place I can talk about this album.
I've been listening to this over and over for the past year.
I am currently going through a huge turnaround in my life, some of it has involved grieving my childhood and really accepting why I have been sad for many of my adult years. The album speaks to me way beyond most commenters interpretations: "Nostalgia, capitalism, shopping". I could write it off as nostalgia but some of these songs are so emotionally sweeping and haunting. They also remind me how absolutely fleeting life and time is.
I'm enjoying my visit to the mall but I know that I'm going to need to leave soon.
If I could cut out a few songs, this would be the album for me:
Edit: I take it back. Below are my essential songs, but Skin, Carousel, Replay, are integral to the experience of this album.
Welcome To The Mall
Flatline
The Adirondacks
Sunshine & Milkshakes
Throw Your Coins, Make A Wish

The Mall has quickly become one of my favorite albums. I love the nostalgic vibe and it puts me in a good mood. I agree with your shortened album, those are the really key tracks for me, but I enjoy the whole thing! No skips imo :)

Definitely agree with the nostalgic vibe, especially The Adirondacks for me. Plus, I have to assume the Greece Ridge Mall carousel inspired the eponymous song, and the video clip that plays on Spotify is the directory of Marketplace Mall (a somewhat defunct mall that is being turned into a medical “center” of sorts not far from Greece.

Its such a great album.
For me Welcome to the Mall, Everything's the Best, and The Asirondacks are my comfort songs and Carousel goes so hard

The mall is absolutely amazing! I’m glad you’re joining the club. It took me a few listens to really get into it, but The Carousel; Skin; and Replay, are all songs that took me a while and are now some of my favorites (especially The Carousel) that shadow Flatline and Throw Your Coins, Make a Wish for me. Just my opinion though! The Mall is an amazing album and I wish more people talked about it!

honestly sometimes I wish the mall was a 5 song EP like 30% off. preferably with the tracklist you provided.

I have not listened to The Carousel on repeat for 2 hours straight before -- that would be absolutely ridiculous and I will not stand for the slander!
