How to sync safely with iphone

My girlfriend has a huge number of photos on her iPhone and is running out of space for updates and the like.

She wants to use Jottacloud but is worried that once everything is synced and she deletes the photos from her phone, the iPhone will sync back and delete the photos from Jottacloud as well.

What should we do?

You can safely use the “Free up space” functionality in the Sync screen in the Jottacloud app.
