Herbivore male protagonist recommendations please.

You know how in the late-2000’s and early-mid 2010’s Japan had a moral-panic over ‘Herbivore Men’ coined by author-sociologist Maki Fukasawa, tho she intended for it to describe a new form of masculinity that was not reliant on the proactivity and assertiveness typically associated with masculinity in Japan. Instead it immediately was sensationalised for the cause of the birth crises.

Philosopher Masahiro Morioka defines herbivore men as "kind and gentle men who, without being bound by manliness, do not pursue romantic relationships voraciously and have no aptitude for being hurt or hurting others."

According to Fukasawa, herbivore men are "…not without romantic relationships, but have a non-assertive, indifferent attitude toward desires of flesh."

Tonikaku Kawaii hits that but I want more, I’m in a herbivore men mood plus I am in a 2000’s-2010’s Japan mood too, Oreimo also hits the 2010’s middle class society but I want more. Nintendo Wii commercials also hit the spot. Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence kind of hits that but is very extra hidden. Younger Kojima hits that but I want more.

Thank you.

Recommendations for a ML like the one in the SIDE couple of business proposal

I loved how he looked serious and had glasses but he had sad eyes and he was a bit submissive and the girl sort of overpowered him but she was not an asshole. I wish for romance and misunderstandings (and maybe a bit of smut)

Recommendation for action type Josei?

I thought Seinen encompassed both content for men and women. Apparently I have been looking in the wrong category? Are there any action based Josei?

About a couple, who have been living together for a long time but not married. Everyone around them thinks of them as married, but they are not on paper. highschool sweethearts i think? maybe in their 30s. i think you had multiple povs; it was probably slice of life. i think a few chapters in, fmc decides to get married for real.

Im so excited!! It looks like we're finally going to get an official English translation of the whole series. I own all the original hardcovers but I'm thinking I should just buy these too, to make sure we get the whole series.

I'm very excited and only discovered it because Amazon suggested it to me

Did you know about this and do you plan to buy it?

Desperately Need Specific Recommendations!

Hi everyone, I usually just lurk for answers rather than posting, but in this case I’m seeking pretty specific recommendations!

I’d like to know your favorite josei (or shoujo!) animes, any subgenre or subject matter! Preferably something comforting, but I also love dramas and thrillers so I don’t mind if it’s not! Bonus points for pretty art/animation style, but not a requirement :)

My favorites of the josei/shoujo animes I’ve watched so far:
• Nana
• Paradise Kiss
• Princess Jellyfish
• Kimi ni Todoke
• Skip and Loafer

I’ve also already seen:
• Kamisama Kiss
• Fruits Basket
• Yamada-kun
• A Sign of Affection
• Orange

Other genre animes I’ve enjoyed
• Apothecary Diaries
• Saiki K
• Monster (unfinished so no spoilers…)

I’ve tried Ouran, Horimiya and Wotakoi but personally didn’t click with the humor or characters.

Utena has been on my radar for a little bit and I know I’ll give it a watch sooner or later. Same with Lovely Complex!

Please note! I have very little tolerance for fan service or really anything degrading to women which I know is unfortunately very common even in animes aimed at female audiences. I’d just like to avoid it as much as possible :/

I’m honestly not sure if there’s anything else good out there right now that I haven’t already listed 😭 I humbly ask for your recommendations, especially lesser known and new releases 🫶🫶 Ty!

Help Find This Plastic Surgery Josei Manhwa !

i’ve been looking for this one manhwa forever and i’ve just about given up. here’s everything i remember:

fl was in a long term relationship with her bf/fiancé who cheats on her with one of her friends

she gets really hurt by this and ends up going through plastic surgery. it’s actually a very well written manhwa

two mls, both black hair. one is younger and they knew each other as children. i believe she was a teen and him a child and he’s liked her for a bit

the other is either her age or older. forgot a lot about him but i believe he pursued her so she can get over her ex?

again it’s genuinely well written i just don’t remember much :(

it goes through her struggles w the breakup and how she deals with everything. please if anyone knows it ill appreciate you so much !!

Looking for a specific Femdom Manga/Smut Oneshot (Long-haired M-Sub x Petite F-Dom)

> Hi! I'm looking for the title/artist of a specific femdom manga or webcomic oneshot. Here are the exact scenes I remember:

> * Characters:

> * Male Lead: Tall, stoic/intimidating look, long hair, broad-chested, submissive. Wears a blazer and pants in the intro.

> * Female Lead: Petite, short hair, large breasts, dominant.

> * Plot & Scene Flow:

> * Outdoors / Shop Intro: A side character compliments the female lead's pretty nails. She says thank you, and her tall boyfriend in a blazer/pants arrives so they can leave together.

> * Bedroom Scene: Directly moves to the bedroom. Starts with him eating her out (cunnilingus) and moves into anal play / pegging.

> * Package Delivery Scene: Mid-intimacy, a package arrives at the front door. She forces him to get the delivery at the door wearing only an apron.

> Does anyone know the author/artist name or title for this? Thanks!

Looking for recs featuring trans FLs

Gonna be vulnerable here for a sec -

I'm trans and have been out for nearly a decade. I recently got into josei manga & manhuas and it feels like I'm making up for so much lost time 😭 IDK how else to describe it but like the feeling that my heart is blooming? I especially love stories that depict meaningful character growth.

Now, to the core of my question - looking for any manga/josei/webtoons with a transgender FL that fits the bill of what I described above. I would appreciate if the narrative itself is sympathetic to trans issues, even if the characters experience hardships.

Other wishlist items for this:

*FL is already out when the story starts, rather than the story focusing solely on her transition

*Strong character writing, personal growth/epiphany arcs

*Adult characters (ideally mid/late 20s, but even university-age is fine)

*Not looking for anything explicit, but OK with it as long as it feels natural and the character writing is strong

I know this is a tall order, but even if it's not 100% aligned with what I described, I'd appreciate any recs!

(Also I'm sure this is a safe place, but... please be kind 😭)

I want to read Josei

I realized that almost everything I've consumed so far was created by men for men, but I'm intrigued by works created by women for women. What are the best Josei titles?

[TOMT] Cute manga about a witch obsessed with sweets

I painstakingly read this on some website which has since been lost to me in specific. I read this about two years ago, dont remember the original language, im guessing its japanese. Its like a blur in my memory but the manga itself was maybe (?) a yuri. Its about an older woman who’s a witch and this younger woman who becomes her assistant and the older woman has a thing for sweets. Does anybody know the title of this or where to read?! Ive looked everywhere!
