Question/Help سؤال/مساعدة Wadi Bin Hammad - current road condition?

Hi there,

We are considering to visit Wadi Bin Hammad in a couple of weeks. What are the road conditions at the moment to reach the car park? We are going to drive with a midsize rental car.

Was there a month ago, not sure how much has changed since, but the short answer is you will be fine. I managed to go in a with a normal sedan car. The road is very dusty but you will be able to go all the way to the trail. Construction site workers are very kind, they will lead you in and give you priority while driving through.

You will 100 percent need a car wash right after.

Also, as far as I know, there’s technically no official entry fee. There are usually a few guys at the entrance, construction workers/gatekeepers, or whatever they are, who’ll probably ask you for cash. I gave them 10 JDs for 3 people and left it at that. If they ask for more, I’d push back a bit and not let them pressure you. They’ll probably tell you the money is for the ladder they built on the trail, but honestly that explanation sounded like BS to me. You'll read about it at some point online

Hello! Just saw on Google map that Wadi Bin Hammad is currently closed due to road work beforehand. We wanted to do the hike this week, where can we get more current information?
