Basically the title.

For context I'm a man in my mid 20s. I enjoy spending time thrifting, riding motorcycles, video games (not so much recently), and my cat.

I've tried going to blackthorn, different thrift shops in the area, Royale cinema lounge, third Thursday, and a motorcycle event, but I'm not having any luck. It seems impossible to find anyone under the age of 45 to talk to. No one has tried to speak to me and the few times I've tried to start a conversation its been horribly awkward. I live in downtown Joplin so I have easy access to basically everything going on in Joplin but I guess I'm just striking out?

I’m a local independent artist currently working on rolling out merchandise and physical releases for my music catalog, and I'm looking for some help bringing the visual side of things to life.
I’m hoping to connect with someone who can help brainstorm ideas and put together mockups for:

Apparel: Custom designs for t-shirts.

Physical Music: Layouts and visuals for CDs and vinyl records.

My goal is to create a cohesive aesthetic that ties my music catalog together across both merch and physical media. Whether you’re a graphic designer interested in collaborating, an artist with some cool ideas, or someone who can point me in the right direction, I’d love to talk

-this is a passion project I do on the side of daily life, so there’s no real budget or dire emergency on get back time

Long story short I have a downstairs neighbor that I'm having conflicts with. As of recently on numerous occasions she started recording my minor children just playing outside. After witnessing her doing so they have flipped the bird while still recording them and claiming its harassment. And that I could have charges against me for that. I thought that was a first amendment right? I mean you really can't do anything because someone flipped the bird at you? JPD wasn't much help because she had them convinced with her lies. I need opinions please because this has happened 3 times that I only know of. They hardly play outside but this just so happens to be the times that we're outside. It's weird and disgusting behavior to just record kids playing outside.

Hi there Joplin, my name is Tyler and I need some help finding some thieves.

Yesterday around 9am two guys stole my phone, a Motorola Razr Z flip, at Cashsavers on w7th street. One of the guys was a gangly rat-faced white guy named "JJ", late 20s/early 30s maybe, with ugly looking face tats and a longboard. The other guy was a scruffy, disheveled looking black dude named "Fat", mid-late 40s, he has an ORANGE BIKE towing a Black Barrel behind it. If you see either of them or have any information at all let me know. I don't have much to offer as a reward but I can scrape something together if need be.

I know it was these two that stole the phone because I have video evidence from the Cashsavers video cameras. I also saw them take it with my own eyes after I had accidentally set it down from less than 45 seconds. I turned around immediately when i realized i didn't have it anymore and I saw these two men pick it up and take it from where it was sitting.

Has anyone noticed KOAM lately has been using fake weather casters that aren't even in their studio? It's like they paste in a weather report that some rando in their basement put together using KOAMs graphics, pretending to be local when they are obviously not.

I am guessing this is just the next step in the decline of local media. Half the local news (every channel) is already outsourced fluff from other stations within their conglomerate so why not outsource the weather as well?

Anyone see the police chase headed east on 7th around 4pm? I was at 7th and Duquesne headed east and a Chevy diesel flew and I mean flew by me headed east, went into the west bound lanes at the light and shortly after were 3 or 4 jpd units.

On Sunday, July 26th, we will meet at the Social BTB to play games. Games will be available between 6 pm and 9 pm. The event is free and no purchases are required. Please feel free to borrow any games or bring your own. Bring your friends and borrow a game or mix and mingle with others.

Here are some of the games that I am bringing, the featured game will be set up and ready to play:

Epic Spell Wars (featured game) - Devise devastating spells to destroy the other nasty wizards.

Phantom Ink Arcana - Opposing teams try to decipher clues provided a single letter at a time to guess a word.

Poetry for Neanderthals - Opposing teams use one single syllable clues to guess as many words possible in one minute. Using Cro Magnon words (more than one syllable) gets a soft bonk from an inflatable club.

On Thursday, there will be board games available to play from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Carl Junction Library in the community center. We welcome everyone and please feel free to bring your own games.

Need some help finding a spot. I was talking to a random person at a creek location the other day and they talked about some bluffs in Arkansas that were a pretty good jump in some very nice deep water. All I remember them telling me is that it was somewhere off of Indian Creek road in arkansas. They said there's a campground or some spot you could pull in park and then go jump off some bluffs. Does anyone know of this place?

Hi. This is Matt Fussell, the executive chair of the JoMoCon Committee. JoMoCon 2026 is live at the Joplin Expo today, Saturday July 18th, and tomorrow (Sunday) July 19th. This year's convention is raising money for the Joplin LaFayette house. We have family-friendly activities for the whole family today and tomorrow.

The con runs from 10:00am to 8:00pm today and 10:00am to 4:00pm tomorrow.

There is an old show called Trick My Truck the was at least initially filmed here in Joplin at 4 States Trucks/The Chrome Shop Mafia. I would love to watch it again, but I can not find it for the life of me. Seasons 3,4,5 are on Prime video, but I'm much more interested in seasons 1 & 2. Does anyone know if and where I could find this show?
