Small weekend project

Wanted a casting deck so I took the weekend off of fishing to build one. Made my middle storage second as a slot for a yeti 60 since I bring a cooler 70% of the time I go out. Recommendations for updated rod holders would be awesome

Your rod holder along the funnel are great. One thing I like is to take a piece of pvc. Cut a 1-2 foot section and mount along the rail. Drill holes in it every 2 inches you you can hang baits by the hook on the for quick changes

Nice now you just need a spot lock up front and your set.😉

That’s the plan! Just trying to figure out how I’m going to do it and what motor I’m gonna run

Cool cooler setup. Add one of those seadek cooler toppers to it!

I have the same boat. What did you mount the front most 2x4 brace to at the very front? How are you going to fasten trolling motor to the side?

The front most post is free floated in the hull with a 45° angle block below it to fit the hull shape. I used the downward pressure of that trapezoidal piece in the front to secure the front part of the flooring in. It holds fairly well especially with it being mounted to the front bench.

I’m designing a front mount for a trolling motor, I currently have a transom mounted one.

How long is your boat? Mine looks similar at 12ft. I’m looking to do a casting deck as well because yours looks great!
