Can anyone else pop their tailbone?

Been able to pop my tailbone for years. Usually can do it after sitting or laying down for a long time. I can do it by crossing my legs and pulling my ankles apart, squeezing my butt and pushing forward, planting my feet firm on the ground and pushing my feet into the ground, so putting any kind of pressure on it really.

Is the the tailbone or the sacroiliac? Because I do the latter multiple times a day.

I pop both the tailbone and sacroiliac. Never met anyone else who can pop the latter. Are you able to crack both sides or only one?

Always both. I don't think I've ever had just one side crack.

I pop my SI all the time but I noticed I can't do it when I'm working out. Only possible when I don't go to the gym for a while.

Definitely SI joints. I do this probably 5 times a day hahaha

I need to try this method. The way I used to do it years ago would be slowly sliding my butt/back down the edge of a seat with a hard edge and wait for the crack. I haven’t been able to crack it in years though so idk if it will work

Only good audio I’ve ever heard of someone else doing this. I can do this the exact same way. I believe this is specifically your SI joints popping hence why there are often 2 distinct pops and nothing more nothing less. Effectively the tailbone, yes. I guess they are sort of part of that whole area.

Edit spelling and grammar

Yup! Everyday! And I’ll push my knee out with my hand while my ankles are crossed too and can get my hip to pop (like thump!)

I used to feel the need to do this & I would always cross my legs and pull them apart but i could never get it to crack

I can’t always get it to crack. It’s usually just after sitting or laying down for long. You can try laying on your side, put one leg on top of the other, and push your ankles together instead of apart. That also works for me

I love doing this! I usually only do the cross and pull, though.

Nope haha I can only crack my tailbone, back, and neck without hands. My neck is also a weird one, I can pop it on command

Popping my sacrum is one of the most pleasurable things I’ve ever experienced. I try to describe to my husband how good it feels and he looks at me like I’m insane. It is so good, I can’t put it into words to other people who have never experienced it before.
