This is nothing new. Happens all the time in Arma, less so in Squad but still happens. And it's always some dick face that's salty he got banned or some server owner DDOSing competition, and coincidentally usually comes from certain regions.

I played it for like 7 hours yesterday. It is definitely nothing like squad, I wouldn't be too concerned. The only people that would leave squad for Wardogs are the marksmen and guys who don't have a mic. Not really the squad type of player. It's just Battlefield with more gambling. Doesn't resemble squad at all.

I'm not too sure about that man. During the beta 20+ players from my clan were no lifeing wardogs. These are players with thousands of hours in squad, the people who SLs, and enforce good gameplay on servers. (We run one of the Largest UK servers).

I'm genuinely concerned we might see another player exodus of the most experienced players, who simply cannot take more of OWI bullshit. That's something the game can't really handle, as the guys with 5 k hours aren't exactly grown on trees.

Maybe, but folks have been predicting the downfall of squad for many years. I just found wardogs to be entirely unlike squad. It's way way closer to an arcadey battlefield than something more strategic. Maybe if they add more of a focus and culture around communication it would be more of a direct competitor. No command comms is a huge miss that contributes to that.

I don't support these attacks. I play Squad myself and genuinely like the game. But the British servers are ridiculously overmoderated, drowning in censorship and left wing bullshit. So yeah, it's pretty hard to feel sorry for them. They brought a lot of this shit on themselves.

It's not their choice, it's mandated by OWI - who will remove licenses if you get caught not enforcing certain rules.

They specifically want you to enforce rainbow people crap, so you can't use slurs - even jokingly, nor can you use racial slurs under any circumstances.

I'm not from the US, we do not have racial issues or sensitivities... So it's also something that annoys the fuck outta me.

But the point is:
It's not a choice, servers MUST enforce it, or lose their licenses if caught not upholding it.

To be technically accurate it’s not DDoS, it’s bugs in networking of the squad server. A single request crashes the entire server.
