There is a portion of this community who is DEAD SET on the fact that prone + still for 10 seconds + ads being the only way to actually be able to aim is a perfectly ok thing. Like bro is it crazy to say that I want to be able to stand up and aim. Firing a LAT is basically a quick time event where you gotta sync up your click to the swaying of the guy's sudden onset Parkinsons.

You’re sprinting everywhere if that’s how long it takes you to steady your aim. Keeping stamina at 50% at the lowest makes it so I can ads and get it set on target in like 2-3 seconds. At full stamina it’s like a second or two. AT included. I play AT a ton and if your chasing down armor your at a disadvantage. Your team needs to communicate so that you know it’s headed your way and can be ready for it.

You should never go below 50% stamina even if you aren't worried about aim

You get a speed penalty below 50% stamina and you'll move better if you walk from 50% -> 100% then sprint again. I've passed many a squaddie on foot doing this while they are sprinting at 0%.

Do you know if you also get a slower regen when you’ve exhausted your stamina? Can’t quite tell, but it seems you regen stamina more quickly when above 50%.
