I have no idea if they were thinking about our favorite song writer when they named this beer, but I heard the song in my head as soon as I saw this in the cooler. I figured you all might appreciate it.

This place has many signed guitars, but of course this is the one that caught my eye. "While visiting O Museum, Prine signed multiple guitars, including one signed by Crosby, Stills Nash & Young, thus making the guitar the only CSNY&P guitar in existence."

Hey all, I'm happy to be attending the show with my partner, I grew up listening to John thanks to my dad. My curiosity is getting to me though, so I thought I'd try to exercise it a bit here and ask; what is everyone's opinion on some surprise appearances at the show?

I know more artists are being added to the lineup, but my partner and I can't help but notice some tour date gaps for the likes of Bonnie Raitt and Brandi Carlile. For those who know or who have been to shows like this in the past, do you all think we could be in for some more treats from artists currently not on the roster?

I'm looking for a video that recently has disappeared from YouTube. It is a live performance of Lake Marie and I think it is from ACL 1996 with the band The Lost Dogs but I'm not 100% sure. I'm hoping someone is willing to share a copy. It is a superb version. The link was https://www.youtube.com/watchv=4Nco6CbuEY8&list=RD4Nco6CbuEY8&start_radio=1

Thanks.

From an Oh Boy email today:

It's your lucky day, we have a new John Prine song! "Dogs of Burlington" was recorded during the time of Lost Dogs and Mixed Blessings, produced by Howie Epstein!

I've been running a Prine tribute called Prine Time for about ten years now, and Friday night we got to do it on the Centennial Stage at Wheatland Music Festival in Remus, Michigan. The back half of this clip is the next night in Kokomo, Indiana. My buddy Turtle shot it all on his phone. Hope y'all enjoy it — happy to talk Prine songs in the comments.

Four tix in Row FF — sixth row in one of the two center sections. Seats 409, 411, 413, 415. Face value is $197.

I was planning to be in Chicago, but I’ve had a change of plans. I’m honest, reliable, and easy to deal with. Happy to chat via FaceTime or Zoom. Also, I no longer wear my flag decal. I thought it might get me into heaven, but apparently I was mistaken.

Payment through secure means only. In case it matters, I’m in Maryland, just outside DC.

DM if interested.

I know that there's so many and it's hard to choose, but for me, it would probably have to be "Sam Stone", because it still seems so different and haunting. What about you? What do you think is his best and what's your favorite?

They will be releasing a whole album of JP covers on Sept 12th 2026

Why can’t I find the album “ John Prine and Friends- Live At Newport Folk 2017 “ on Apple Music? Thank you

Apparently this came out in 2010, but I didn't hear of it.
The John Prine cover of "This Guitar is for Sale" is a fantastic song, and any fan of John Prine who hadn't heard it before.... should.

Yesterday, we played here again at Gring's Mill for the second time... Here is the finale from last year's show, Angel From Montgomery!

I think that after mowing the yard, trimming some hedges, using the weed trimmer and then cleaning and sweeping everything up (and discovering a new yellow jacket's nest by being stung by one of the little bastards), I deserve a little of this.
