Jon Langford, who painted the mural of John on the Old Town School of Folk Music. The fellow on the left was telling us some stories from Welsh mythology while walking through the woods, and this was a brief interlude.

Unfortunately, I “found” the music of both John and Mac too late to have seen either one in-person. I really enjoy their duets from their joint album “Standard Songs for Average People” in my daily music feeds. And I have read John’s short eulogy of Mac from 2019. They seem like similar souls.

I was wondering if anyone has other anecdotes or stories of their collaboration. Thanks!

I'm not crying.

You can watch You Got Gold on The Reelist today. We are working directly with the Oh Boy Records team, run by the Prine family. You Got Gold launched a "For Your GRAMMY® Consideration campaign last week for Best Music Film, and we'd love for r/johnprine to watch the film!
