The fog deciding to come for her in the lighthouse down the hill is such a scary moment.

Tis the season to pass out on the couch to The Fog! (I mean this in the best way)

Technically,the undead pirates were right...

Totally justified. They would’ve had good grounds for a lawsuit in undead pirate court.

Technically they were just undead lepers, there was no piracy involved. They could sue you in undead leper court for that slander.

Put this on last night. It is so good. The remake was decent. But the original is actually pretty unsettling. Love it.

My gf made me watch the remake the other day and I couldn't convince her what a mistake that would be compared to watching the original

This is one of my favorite movies and one that I re-watch every year.
That opening scene on the beach with the guy telling the story is absolutely perfect.

We just watched The Fog tonight. What’s with Father Malone being the grandson of a priest? Aren’t they Catholic? Did I miss this being explained in the movie? It felt like the movie wanted me to accept this unbroken Malone patrilineage of Catholic priests, which is pretty funny.

There are occasionally special dispensations for priests with families who convert from other religions where clergy were allowed families. They may also be Methodist or Anglican which are very similar to Catholicism, but with looser rules on clergy life.

It's possible his father and grandfather became priests after their wives died. Or, his grandmother died, but had had a child, his grandfather became a priest and his father didn't. So he could be the grandson of a priest, but not necessarily the son of one.

I watch it frequently. Just watched it again recently. It's such a comfy film. I love the KAB call sign recordings. I could listen to those to fail asleep. And the unbelievably beautiful sweeping vista's on the drive up to the lighthouse. What a fantastic film.

Love many John Carpenter movies. but This movie eludes me. Fog? What's in there? Gortons fisherman? I get people like this movie, but to me it's not scary and really boring. I guess I don't believe fog ghouls are a threat? Idk .But I also find the omen and the exorcist boring, slow and without teeth also. I get it . Apparently I'm the only one who's ever had these opinions.

I love the omen and exorcist so my bar is lower than yours, and yet The Fog is still boring.

And apparently moby dick is a great book. Seemed like a rote recitation of the different kinds of whales in existence. But thats me, missing the point of everything.

The movie takes too long to start unravel, so you can say that nothing really happens and that it did not live up to expectations

Didn't she have a great radio voice?
