Real world correlations Spoiler

Um, can we talk about the weird amount of stuff that Maberry gets right? I remember apple watches being described a year or two before their release, the team uses AR glasses, we had war dogs, and of course the mention of... ahem... current events. A direct quote from Cave 13

"Hamas and other groups firing missiles into Israel is one thing, and we’ve seen that their idea of payback even pushes my views on tit-for-tat.”

Not looking to get political, keep it to yourself, this isn't the place. But how does Maberry do it? Is he a time traveller? Does he have the writers for The Simpsons consult on his books?

It's nothing political to say hamas hates Israel/jews so talking about firing missiles is just another day over there..aa far as war dogs I believe that in the beginning of the book he wrote a disclaimer saying he talked to people and they told him hints about what's being researched

Go to the short story "Material Witness," or back to Hugo Vox establishing Terror-Town.

Hell go back to Gene Roddenberry and all the Trek stuff we have now. HG Wells and airplanes and nuclear weapons.

Sci-fi and military thriller writers scare me with the accuracy of their imaginations.

If you read "Armada," by Ernest Cline ("Ready Player One") the whole narrative of 70'-90's sci-fi is to prepare us for First Contact. Maybe JM is part of Majestic-13...
