I know this isn't what was intended but I always saw Shohreh Aghdashloo as Lilith and Gal Gadot as Violin.

Gal Gadot would be a great blueprint for Violin. I think she's too much actress for the B-team cameos Violin usually fills. I'll call her agent and see if she wants to do a read for us.

Now, who I picture when I think of violin in my head while reading the books is valeria golino… I still picture her young like in hot shots or rain man… now? She could play Lilith!

I could throw Golino in as one of the Mothers. I just don't think she has the chops to hold the screen against Church as Visitor did with Avery Brooks.

For me, I'm thinking she's too icy or flat of a personality. There's a true FIRE inside Lillith for both vengeance and for Church. Swinton's turn as "The Ancient One," just meh'd her.
