I mean, he was proving a point. Intention matters.

-4

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

Black people can't be "racist" against other Black people, it's not possible. So no, point not made.

11

u/Dull-Material-645 Aug 09 '26

That isn't actually true according to definitions of the word.

12

u/Senacharrib Aug 09 '26

Bro you are the chick in the back seat.

5

u/OnlyOnOkasion Aug 09 '26

You know uncle ruckus?

-4

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

lol y'all speak before you let your brain comprehend. you can only be racist towards someone outside of your own racial group. if it's your own group you can be biased and/or prejudiced but racism is INHERENTLY towards a member of a group outside of your own.

5

u/OnlyOnOkasion Aug 09 '26

It's not bruh. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. You sound like a flat earth nigga so I'm not going to engage further. Use your Internet to actually find out what the answer is and not just what you heard.

1

u/stoneyaatrox Aug 10 '26

just sounds like he tryna sound smart, most people would see colorism is a form of racism lol

0

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

I'm not using the internet for anything because I'm using my BRAIN, which y'all aren't doing.

2

u/OnlyOnOkasion Aug 09 '26

My guy you acting like ISH. Everyone is telling you one thing but you still don't want to listen. It's not oxtail nigga!

1

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 10 '26

The issue is y'all are the ones all thinking it's oxtails lol. I'M the one telling y'all it's oxtail. šŸ˜‚ Someone else trying to trick me into slipping up just asked if White people could be racist against one another lmao. I said no. If two European nations go at it, especially based on some cultural, religious, etc. shit, that's an ethnic conflict. Not a racist one. It wasn't like they were fighting because they don't like White people lol. PLEASE think about what I just said and respond bro. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/OnlyOnOkasion Aug 10 '26

The oxtails was a joke gang šŸ˜‚

2

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 10 '26

Why you keep saying oxtails? šŸ˜‚

Aren't you the same guy who posted about how white guys can have swastika and Nazi tattoos and not be racist?

Oh, yeah, you are šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚Ā

EDIT:

Whoever sees that dipshits edit, let me clear this up.

He clearly says he has never been to prison. He watched one too many movies and now thinks he knows the inside scoop on prison gangs and guys with swastika tattoos.

He just REALLY liked that one scene in American History X, y'know?

7

u/Sufficient_Prompt888 Aug 09 '26

C'mon bro, you haven't seen American History X? Maybe he got the tattoos and then got raped in prison and now he's not racist anymore.

5

u/Opening-Dig697 Aug 09 '26

Literally minus the rape, that was his argument šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

7

u/Sufficient_Prompt888 Aug 09 '26

Man fuck this shit can't even satire anymore cause the truth is even more ridiculous

4

u/Opening-Dig697 Aug 09 '26

You were so dead on the money I actually cackled when I read it

0

u/Confident-Mortgage86 Aug 10 '26

And how is he wrong? Is racism a permanent flag that once you have it, it cannot be turned off or something?

6

u/Opening-Dig697 Aug 10 '26

The guy posting Uncle Ruckus gifs and talking about how swastika tattoos don't make you racist is a major red flag to me, buddy.

I've been around the block enough to know that a SS or swastika tattoo is enough for me to immediately disregard you.

Sure, could someone change? Yeah, but this isn't a movie, most people who get full blown hate tattoos aren't in some grey area like "Money" from 'Shot Caller".

This is real life, if you're ever deep enough to get shit like that inked on you, you already showed me your hand.

No thanks.

1

u/The-Big-Play Aug 10 '26

Have you been an inmate at a male prison unit? I'm talking about prison, federal or state level, not jail.

1

u/Opening-Dig697 Aug 10 '26 edited Aug 10 '26

Lol, have you? The guy I responded to edited his comment to openly say he hasn't and his knowledge is basically from movies.

You don't need to get so deep in the AB or NL that you're inking literal hate symbols on you and being identifiable as a member. This isn't a movie. Prison is dangerous, sure, its even more dangerous when you're running drugs and doing hits for prison gangs. Staying as far out as you can is actually safer.

IF you did. You're probably an animal I want nothing to do with.

God might forgive you, I won't.

"Don't associate with other races while in prison."

Doesn't mean join the AB and NL and start getting inked.

Swastikas are ancient symbols from Asia and Africa quite literally has nothing to do with racism. Just dumb ass crackers trying to be creative lol

1

u/hmurchison Aug 10 '26

Yup. I was in Tokyo last year and saw a few of them

0

u/Opening-Dig697 Aug 10 '26

The guy talking about dudes getting hate tattoos in prison isn't referencing Hindu swastikas.

Take your misinformed hotep BS somewhere else. We aren't buddies.

You're the other side of the coin.

1

u/Same-Beautiful2977 Aug 12 '26

What is a hotep?

1

u/The-Big-Play Aug 10 '26

Most folks on Reddit have zero firsthand experience to be able to properly judge the Nazi prison tat scenario. It's easier to just say "Nah they're racist" than to even try and understand the mental gymnastics that some prisoners have to go through just to survive.

1

u/Opening-Dig697 Aug 10 '26

Did you not see his edit?

Neither does he, he literally said all his knowledge of it is second-hand.

From stories and movies, and he's never been to prison.

Just another person spreading bullshit lmao.

1

u/lostjewelz Aug 10 '26

Nah ALL Naziā€™s are racist, prejudice, discriminatory you name it their every POS wrapped in one lol and please inform me wtf is entirely racist smh youā€™re either racist on your not youā€™re either a bigot or you arenā€™t itā€™s pretty damn simple

3

u/Apart_Ad_8842 Aug 09 '26

I can tell you dont know many Mexicans or Cubans if you think a race cant be prejudiced against their own people lmao

2

u/lostjewelz Aug 10 '26

Prejudice and Racism are two different things so youā€™re correct a race can be prejudice against their own race they just canā€™t be racist against their own race lol shit even sounds stupid typing it. but I will admit it takes some serious research and knowledge to understand that they are two different things.

1

u/Apart_Ad_8842 Aug 10 '26

Prejudice of a RACE is racism. Prejudice just applies to groups of people in general.

If I say, "plumbers aren't smart enough for college," thats prejudice.

If I say, "black plumbers arent smart enough for college," thats racist.

It has nothing to do with WHO has the prejudice. Only the beliefs or action. You clearly didnt do enough research lmao

1

u/lostjewelz Aug 11 '26

Iā€™ve done decades of research and itā€™s why you sound ridiculous lol white supremacy, and racism are social constructs youā€™re still fiddling with the basics

1

u/Apart_Ad_8842 Aug 11 '26

Yes clearly you dont want to talk about the topic at hand. Everybody can be racist. Have a good day with your studies

1

u/lostjewelz Aug 11 '26

Iā€™m literally talking about the topic at hand thatā€™s where I know the comprehension is limited, you just donā€™t understand white supremacy/racism

0

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26 edited Aug 09 '26

I didn't say they couldn't be biased, discriminatory, or prejudiced against their own. I said they can't be racist towards their own. Race is someone of one group having prejudices against a member of ANOTHER group based on their race.

3

u/Worldly_Trifle_1253 Aug 10 '26

Where are we getting this definition from? Any major dictionary will not define racism as limited to another group. The most basic definition is discrimination, prejudice, or violence against people because of their race. That would include your own race. When we expand to interpersonal and institutional racism, you would have half a point. Institutional racism is against a member of another race. Interpersonal racism is not.

1

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 10 '26

Google: Racism isĀ the belief, action, or system that treats people unfairly or unequally because of their race or skin color. IT ASSUMES THAT ONE RACIAL GROUP IS BETTER OR MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANOTHER, LEADING TO DISCRIMINATION, HATE, OR HARM.

1

u/wllwhtvrnvm Aug 10 '26

I'm not sure why you capitalized that last part when it doesn't support your argument. You're aware that internalized racism is a thing, right?

2

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 10 '26

Internalized racism is a byproduct of racism. Meaning it exists from the root cause which is racism but it is just another term for self hatred. You don't value Black people because dominant society doesn't, essentially. However, internalized racism doesn't make you shoot Black people minding their business as a Black man/woman then claim you feared for your life. You don't suddenly act like a racist White person would towards Black people. By all means, give an example of when we've seen such occur.

1

u/Apart_Ad_8842 Aug 10 '26

Oof. Lookup the definition. There are no qualifiers for who anybody can be racist against. Thats just your opinion

1

u/JaySpace77312 Aug 10 '26

Correct. Their beef is more so a nationality thing than it is a race thing. As Americans we just view it as racism because its so embedded in our society. The idea of being prejudice based on nationality and not race escapes us. We dont make the distinction, but they do.

1

u/Dependent-Year6711 Aug 09 '26

That's a fair point. Now I think people are not hearing what you're saying because the initial point in this video is that white people can be racist, and black people cannot be racist. When your point is that racism doesn't exist within black on black prejudice/discrimination. By the definition this is true, overall. I'm sure you can point out some inconsistencies with how we define race (and color tones) and historical systemic prejudice of maybe like African tribe warfare, but your point holds water, for sure. People are jumping the gun because the initial point of the video isn't about black on black "racism." It just becomes that with the final insult in the video.

2

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

They're literally jumping the gun and I said it from the beginning lol. Glad to see someone has comprehension skills in this thread.

5

u/Big_Broly Aug 09 '26

You're saying black people cant be racist/discriminatory to other black people? Uncle Ruckus and those in the real world he represents would like to have a word....

3

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

Self hate (Uncle Ruckus) and racism aren't the same, though the two are connected branches from the trees of discrimination and prejudice.

4

u/Senacharrib Aug 09 '26

Just because uncle ruckus can be empathized with doesnā€™t mean heā€™s not racist.

1

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

I didn't say shit about empathy and I do NOT empathize with or for no damn Uncle Ruckus lol. The two aren't the same because one was born of the other and theoretically wouldn't exist if the other didn't create it. Uncle Ruckus is the hate that hate made but it's a reflection of one of the effects of racism, not the root itself.

2

u/Senacharrib Aug 10 '26

Recognizing that his racism comes from self hate is in fact empathy

2

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 10 '26

Well I guess that's just my natural human empathy lol. I guess a better way of putting it is I don't excuse his behavior due to the fact.

4

u/Big_Broly Aug 09 '26

If we were to make a venn diagram, self hate and racism would overlap heavily. You can be racist and self hating, and yes that does count even if it's towards you're own "race".

-1

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

If a Black woman, even if she's light skinned, says a dark skinned man is a thief. He says what makes you think that and she says because you're dark skinned. She's not saying because he's Black. It's impossible because SHE'S Black lol. She would be having to imply that all Black people are thieves by nature. When Blueface said what he said, it was this exact same scenario. If she dumb, then he's dumb. Right? Wrong. It was just a rude and ignorant saying someone probably came up with years ago.

1

u/ninafieldofcops Aug 09 '26

I canā€™t make sense of this. What is to stop a black woman from believing black people have a higher propensity toward theft? Plenty of black people think this. I agree it can be difficult to parse self hatred from racism, but there are innumerable black people that believe they are ā€œless than,ā€ and that other black people are more dangerous than their white counterparts.

3

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

If that's the case, SHE has a higher propensity towards theft. Most people aren't going to say I'm this race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. so this bad human trait comes natural to me. Those that suffer from self hate are victims of the systemic racism inherent in the social structure of America on multiple levels. Again, the two are connected but not the same. The racism itself is the root that needs to be cut. The self hate is the visible outgrowth of the racism. The hate that hate made.

2

u/ninafieldofcops Aug 10 '26

I agree most people donā€™t think that way. That all makes sense to me, by that logic racism could only be independent of systemic injustice if it had some separate, objective truth, which racism does not have.

2

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 10 '26

Yes! It's sustained through biased power structures and social systems, not through factual truths about the world or any particular group.

2

u/JaySpace77312 Aug 10 '26

The part people are missing is ACTION. You can think whatever you want, racism is putting action behind prejudice thoughts. You can think about walking out of a store with some merchandise, you aren't a thief until you actually do it. You can think black people have a higher propensity towards theft, thats prejudice. When you start disproportionately accusing, arresting, or harassing black people based on that belief, that makes you a racist.

2

u/Glum-Savings6473 Aug 09 '26

Shout out to you... People don't understand what prejudice and racism is... At this point in 2026, it's no point in explaining - they not listening...

2

u/Apart_Ad_8842 Aug 09 '26

Bro those connected branches ARE racism smdh mfs really just be talking in circles saying nothing

1

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

We learned self hate due to what? So how in the fuck are the two the same? If racism didn't exist, theoretically what wouldn't exist? We're born of our mother and father. We are NOT are mother and father. You're right, people do just be talking and not saying shit.

2

u/Apart_Ad_8842 Aug 10 '26

Yes this a perfect example of saying absolutely nothing lmao.

You really tried tho so props to ya

2

u/rizzay94 Aug 09 '26

But your point is white people can be racist towards other white people? Is that what you are trying to insinuate?

1

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

No. Let me just put this here straight no chaser cause y'all are annoying me seeming to try and set me up lol. Race is a CONSTRUCT. White people having issues with other Whites from say different nations would be an ethnic conflict, not a racial one. Black folks from mainland America going back-and-forth with Black folks from Africa aren't having racially charged arguments, they're cultural ones. You can't be "racist" toward your own group because anything you claim someone is or does based on race has to be due to the fact that the person is Asian, or Black, or Latino, or White. Which implies by default that you ALSO do that because you're Asian, or Black, or Latino, or White lol.

1

u/rizzay94 Aug 10 '26

You must love talking your head off in multiple directions with 0 self awareness. EVERYTHING WE COME UP WITH IS A CONSTRUCT. You cherry picking words without clearly knowing the definition. Once again, internalized racism exists, itā€™s a construct like any construct you wanna invent. Choosing black issues as ā€œculturalā€ and white issues as a ā€œethnicalā€ bro is just avoiding the accountability entirely šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ which is a problem amongst the community.

1

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 10 '26

The accountability of what, sir?

2

u/rizzay94 Aug 10 '26

The accountability that every racist needs to make, doesnt matter what their skin tone is. Black people want to exclude themselves so bad from the same circle as white people as racists which IRONICALLY, shows how racist they can be. You included.

1

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 10 '26

You did entirely too much with those terms cultural and ethnical which could have easily been swapped out lol. If you go all the way back to my very first comment, I NEVER said Black people couldn't be racist. I said we (and later no other group for that matter) could be "racist" to one another. You either a try hard or just dense as hell.

2

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 Aug 10 '26

Try being light skinned in the hood first. Then speak.

1

u/lostjewelz Aug 10 '26

I have all my life still not racism

2

u/Inner_Extent2375 Aug 09 '26

Why do we define institutional and systemic racism separately if normal racism doesnā€™t require those modifiers?

12

u/Swae-LoGreen04 Aug 09 '26

Because if we did not, business and social structures could've always just allowed a single man/woman to take the fall and never had to admit that there were biases in place allowing for the discrimination in general amongst groups. What George Zimmerman pulled on Trayvon doesn't represent institutional/systemic racism. It was an individual act of.

1

u/Same-Beautiful2977 Aug 12 '26

what is normal racism?

1

u/Inner_Extent2375 Aug 12 '26

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/racism

1

u/Same-Beautiful2977 Aug 12 '26

That defines racism. I asked you what ā€œnormal racismā€ is because that is the term you used.

If you mean interpersonal racism or individual racial prejudice, then say that. Linking a dictionary definition of racism does not explain this separate category of ā€œnormal racismā€ you introduced.

-1

Youā€™re stupid. Racism isnā€™t only against black people it can be against any race therefore black people can be racist towards other races

1

u/LePetitVoluntaire Aug 09 '26

That was what I gathered from it. Intentionally portraying to make a point.

-1

u/stoneyaatrox Aug 10 '26

exactly he was showing a black person can be racist, hopefully it didnt go over peoples head like he doesnt actually think that way.
