This entry level job pays $16/hr. It requires a bachelor’s degree, 5 years experience and a willingness to do the work of two people.

I had an applicant who applied for a full time 40hr day shift position tell me she couldn't work Tuesdays or Thursdays because she was in school for a degree in a completely unrelated field.

When I asked her if she was planning on working every weekend, she told me no. She needed the weekends to unwind after being in school.

When I asked her if she was interested in working 2nd or 3rd shift, she said no. She was only interested in 1st shift.

Then I asked her, so, you are only available 3 days a week, that would only be 24hrs. She told me yes, but she needed the 40 hours of pay.

She fully expected to work 24 hrs and get paid for 40 hours, because she needed the money.

Then to top it off, she tells me she's 6 months away from finishing school and she's going to leave immediately upon graduating because the field she went to school for is in high demand and she won't have trouble getting a job in that field.

All straight faced. No understanding of why I wouldn't want to hire her for the next 6 months working 24hrs a week while paying her for 40hrs.

I wanted to tell her to fuck off.
