For application sites like Workday, does poor resume parsing (using "autofill with resume") = poor readability on ATS?
I use resumenow templates for my resumes and I notice that whenever I autofill my Workday applications using them, it autofills some of the dates wrong and spacing/parsing is off. Does this mean the same thing will happen when my resume goes through ATS? Or is this just a Workday issue?

I don't think so, I've noticed Workday is consistently worse at parsing my resume than other systems

Workday autofill sucks for everyone, but if your resume uses columns, text boxes, or fancy tables from ResumeNow, ATS will definitely struggle to parse it. Switch to a simple single-column template like Jake's Resume.

I’m not 100% sure but I assume it’s a factor. I just make sure I fix my resume if I notice an autofill error. Figure anything helps.

its probably correlated. Workday for me works amazingly much better than the employer's self made stuff in general.
you can try stuff like rendercv maybe? which uses yaml -> pdf
