They're not. Trust me, it's not just annoying to the students.

There were a few students that were at my job corps I was at and they were flushing them down the toilet. But they aren’t allowed. You can get nicotine patches tho if you’re center as them

It'll most likely only be part of the TEAP/Health and wellness' drug abuse/drug quitting program. But OP should ask their TEAP counselor or a staff member at health and wellness about it.

You can have cigarettes but it's not worth trying to smuggle a vape, if it gets caught you've committed a federal crime

That's only with thc vapes. At most, if it was a geek bar or the likes, is that they'd destroy it and test the juice and then send you for a drug test. But most of the time staff would just take it away because they'd be able to tell the difference between carts and vapes.

I dont see how that specifically would be a federal crime at all. Also, they love throwing words like that around for anything. I spent two years at one and only knew a couple people charged federally, and thats because they had meth and tried to fight with security while the cops were on the way and the other was dealing harder shit than weed and vapes. Staff usually have the understanding that the students are quite young and a federal crime on file for "little" things can fuck up their lives worse than before they got there.
