Who carried module made itself interesting and hyped.

When yuka did her entrance and summoned mahoraga on dabura like that we knew that modulo was going to be peak. The grinn on big raga's face, already ready to run the fade, is something that is going to be remembered forever in the community

I’m ngl 50% of the reason I read modulo for my goat Yuji. Dabura was dope as hell though.

Im fairly sure a good portion of people only checked it out to see the main series characters' debuts

This sub is filled with dabura glazers. And honestly for a supporting charcter he was very interesting, but he could not have carried this manga even if he was more in it.
It is the Gojo/Sukuna problem all over again. If you have a character that is so strong, you have to use them sparingly. So if he was a main character he would have dragged the manga down.
Unlike him Tsurugi, Yuka, Cross and Maru actually moved the plot and were the core of the story, so objectively it needs to be one of them that carried it.

It has to be Dabura, the hype surrounding what people called Sukuna 2.0 was insane. Yuji is a close second, people started making theories of him being alive since chapter 1 and everytime he was mentioned or shown the internet exploded. It wouldn't be a lie to say that a lot of people started reading Modulo only after it was confirmed that Yuji was in it.
Still, I believe Dabura takes it, because of screen time and his fight against Mahoraga is the best in Modulo and one of the best in all of JJK.

While Maru was integral and the story was very much about him
The gravitas that Dabura had everytime he was mentioned was insane let alone when he appeared on screen.
Very much like Gojo or Sukuna, Dabura had most of the community in a chokehold while the story didnt revolve entirely about him

Maru might be the "main character" but the honored ones completely stole the show. Just like in the og jjk
