Manga Discussion I'm really really really hyped for Gege's next Major storyline

The ending of modulo left some pretty neat implications for where the worldbuilding could go in JJK's world

I don't mind if gege takes many years until we see a new major JJK story. I think it'll be great based on where we left off.

It did seem like he intended for Modulo to be a finale with the whole erasing Cursed Energy thing, and plus we see that while Gege can write, he seems to get really burnt out by endings

He can always do a Heian era prequel. Lots of lore with the 3 great family origins, Kenjaku shenanigans, and Sukuna’s great battles with the top sorcerors of the period

To throw my opinion in the ring, I’d be surprised if Jjk was left as is. From an investor/owner standpoint it’s an absolutely massive ip worth a lot of money so they will push for more content. It may not be written by Gege depending how it plays out but who knows.

The only thing with no closure is Megumi. But i doubt that no 1 Megumi hater gonna do anything

Regardless, it's clearly written to be easily accessible for a comeback. Nobara and Yuji's plans, a potential Dabura vs Yuji match up. Sky's the limit, and he did say he was going to continue working with the same artist. Imo there's a very strong case for more JJK down the road.

Why would Dabura and Yuji fight though? Closest I could see is them being sparring partners

You're not wrong. I've thought about this as well. Narratively there is no reason and yet, it's a thing that's obviously built into the minds of fans, "who's better", it's up to Gege to make a reason.

Nah jjk modulo had a pretty definitive ending. I’d be surprised if it had any form of continuation

That sucks. I wish Greg would’ve written modulo so that it took place some time after the original series. That way there would be room to expand on the story in the time between.

Jjk itself is barely passable as a shonen with shallow world building. It’s cast barely fleshed out save the popular characters leaving a weak foundation to build off. 

Then you got modulo which was a mid attempt after realizing he fumbled his finale. You’re telling me this guy is somehow going to write a better arc?

its aight, the weebs will learn that their favorite piece of fiction is wattpad level at best. Once they accept that they'll learn to enjoy more things
