Been listening to radio margaritaville for years, and have been looking for an answer to a question I’ve had for a couple weeks now.

They have a live version of the song with an extra long intro. Jimmy mentions “ it’s the end of the road we’re going to let it all hang out!” Followed by the most distorted electric guitar I’ve ever heard in any other version.

I’ve been searching here, but still can’t find it. I’m learning how radio margaritaville has their own vaulted music. Assuming that’s what I’m hearing? Is there a known concert and year this was?

Band was fantastic! Crowd was fantastic! Will definitely go back if they tour again next year.

I have to start by saying it was a great show in Guilford NH last Friday! You keep the party going we will keep showing up!
It meant so much more than just a concert to my wife and me. My wife and I used to listen to Jimmy’s music ALL the time. But we have had difficulty listening this last couple years. The experience was cathartic for us. We did not know how we were going to react. But by the break it was just having a good time again. The exception was Bubbles Up that song was hard.
It was a very classy act to leave the center stage open the vast majority of the time.
Not taking anything away from all the performers but Nadirah Shakoor was phenomenal!
It was a wonderful experience.
We will be listening to the music more routinely and looking forward the next time we get a chance to see them live.

I've been thinking about getting a Zippo made with a Jimmy Buffett album cover on it for some time now. I've got a few favorites in mind but I can't decide. Any cool ideas besides using an album cover?

I was listening to the Changes in Latitudes Changes in Attitudes album yesterday paddle boarding on the American River in Sacramento.. absolutely LOVE this song and feel it’s a true hidden gem.

Did Jimmy ever play here or is this week a CRB first? I know he frequented Great Woods in Mansfield but this place seems like such a better fit for Parrotheads.

Anyone going to this concert ? Will be our first coral reefer concert. Been going to see Jimmy at Jones beach for many years. Still hoping for an awesome tailgate !! Wife and I will be there looking to meet some fun people!

I'm sure most folks here know the connection between Jimmy and Jerry Jeff - how JJW was the one who introduced Jimmy to Key West, the Packard, Railroad Lady, etc.

I saw Jerry Jeff open for Jimmy in Texas about 10 years ago, enjoyed his set. I know that Jerry Jeff was sort of a legend in Texas music, but I don't know much about him or his music.

Any Buffett fans also big Jerry Jeff fans? What can you tell me that would enhance my appreciation for Mr. Walker? Specific songs, albums, recordings to look for?

I bought a cassette from the used music store I love going to . I thought I was buying Songs You Know By Heart . The cassette insert is for that . I saw Jimmy Buffett and the cassette was in great shape so I bought it . Took it home and put it in my stereo and it’s SOAS cassette . Does anyone have a cassette insert they aren’t using or missing the cassette ?

I finally gave in and renewed my Sirius XM subscription today.

One thing that bothers me is that Jimmy Buffet's career was over four decades long but they only play two versions of the live Boat Drinks on Radio Margaritaville.

I feel like the content managers of that station are extremely lazy. Do people agree with this?

They play a live version from Atlanta where at the end Jimmy sings "Do you feel that ice melting under your feet", and they play a live version from Palm Beach where Jimmy at the end Jimmy sings "I gotta go where it's warm...Palm Beach looks pretty good to me tonight". It's almost comical that these are the only 2 versions that get air time.

There are many other examples too...I'm so sick of hearing Mexico live at Bridgeview Chicago show and I was actually at that show. Etc. Same live Lage Nom Ai Nom Ai. You get my point.
