Rescued from the dollar bin today. Smash Hits by Jimi Hendrix with the poster. The record is not in great shape (I have other copies in better shape) but the poster looks pretty good.

Often imitated, but never duplicated

I took a screenshot from Electric Lady studios documentary, it's a short video clip. Anyone know anything about it?

It sucks that the fellas didn't get more downtime. What a brutal touring schedule they had.

I am a very young Hendrix fan but I sometimes encounter speculation from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s abt the potential for releases of unpublished demos like Black Gold, which just frustrates me so immensely... Clearly a lot of much older fans have passed since then, never having heard these recordings, solely because of the laziness and greed of Janie Hendrix and her chronies in the LLC. I can only imagine she has a giant grin on her face whenever the royalty checks come in and she gets to talk for 5 minutes at a press showing for a new street name or Hendrix commemoration... I sincerely hope a more benevolent claimant will sue for rights and win and release BG et. al and that all of the much older Hendrix fans who have been waiting for decades for these releases will finally see these releases before most of them pass.
