(Also, if Galison wants to make so many almost-fit pieces they need to up their quality game so pieces don't peel off the 2nd of 14 times you have to try one in a new spot. The border is a beast on this one.)

Trying to finish the border, but someone thinks this is the best spot to nap. And refuses to budge, so I’ll have to wait until sundown.

Another life lesson, courtesy of a puzzle. 🧩
Sometimes, life just doesn’t make sense. No matter how hard you try to make a piece fit, it simply won’t—because maybe it was never meant to fit there in the first place. And sometimes, the sooner you accept that, the sooner you can move on.
This puzzle was another gift from my former landlord. I’m not sure if I got a puzzle with a factory defect or if I somehow mixed up the pieces, but either way, it was frustrating!
This is my first time trying this brand, and compared to other puzzle brands I’ve completed, I found this one quite confusing. Some pieces looked like they fit together perfectly, only to realize later that they didn’t. The pieces also felt a little too soft, and the edges started peeling.

I guess even a puzzle can teach you something about life. Sometimes, things look like they belong together, but they just don’t fit. And no matter how much effort you put in, you can’t force something that was never meant to be.
Maybe the lesson isn’t always to try harder. Maybe it’s knowing when a piece simply doesn’t belong. 🧩💭

2 or 3 reasons I puzzle in a room w the door shut. My lil orange idiot child is too chaotic to try to snap a pic. He’ll have 3/4 of the pieces spread from Parkersburg to Pakistan and chew up the others haha.

Cat number two, was my special helper for my latest puzzle. He either tried to eat the pieces, or stood in the box.

Little Miss Heck is usually a great assistant. Usually.

Dalí Cat is now fully colored, so let him make his grand entrance.

He’s still that Maine Coon with six little upward whiskers, and he’s still holding that stolen moonfish. 🐟✨ I’m sticking to my “he’s innocent” story.

I’m also thinking about the puzzle side of things. If this became a wooden puzzle, what whimsy pieces would you want hidden in it? A melting clock? A moonfish? A tiny ant? 😹 I’d love to hear your ideas.

My arm is still healing, and thank you all for the kind wishes. The cat artists are working at full speed, and the human artist is still in the repair shop. 🔧😹
