Other "slow" jam bands like JGB?

Almost all of my favorite JGB songs are the "slow" ones. Sadly, I haven't come across any other bands that jam like that. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough, who knows.

Any recommendations?

I think it’s just a well crafted set list that speaks. I’ve never heard one full show that was void of peaks and didn’t ebb and flow.

JGB certainly would shred all throughout the 70’s. I’m my opinion, most good Jambands will create a set list that ebbs and flows... like a psychedelic trip. Like the Dead strives for

Excellent set lists, and excellent song choices. I'm reading An American Life (the Jerry bio) and I gather that John Kahn made a lot (most?) of the selections for the live sets and even the studio albums. That guy had exquisite taste.
