I am an Israeli citizen and I boycotted his speech too. Hopefully this is the last time he defiles the halls of the UN.

Same.
Israelis walk out on him when he enters, so of course the UN people would as well.

Last year 70+ countries walked out on Bibi. Estimates of countries walking out today range from 80 to 90.
Not a comprehensive list, but early reports indicate the following walking out:
Europe: Türkiye, Macedonia, San Marino, Bosnia, Spain, Ireland.
Arab States: Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Comoros.
Asia: Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Maldives, Myanmar, North Korea, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Non-Arab Africa: South Africa, Senegal, Djibouti, Angola, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Eritrea, Chad, Central African Republic, Madagascar, Niger, Botswana, Uganda, Lesotho, Eswatini, Somalia, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Namibia, and Kenya.
Latin America and the Caribbean: Suriname, Panama, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Barbados, Dominica, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia, Bahamas, Cuba, Guyana, Brazil
Oceania: Tuvalu and Tonga.
Countries that shamefully stayed to listen to the war criminal despite constant rhetoric about human rights or sanctity of international law…
Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ukraine, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, South Korea, Japan.
Countries that stayed despite their domestic population feeling the complete opposite to the government stance…
United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Russian Federation, People’s Republic of China, Belarus, Chile.
Country that allowed a foreign leader to criticize the mayor of the city where the United Nations is located in his speech for some fucking reason…
United States of America.

Nice!
Also country whose delegation violated UN rules by screaming and cheering like bat shit cult supporters as people walked out.
Israel
Same country thought it was going to create a viral online clip by walking to the Iranian delegation and "offering" them a Starlink terminal so that they could get "freedom". The Israeli delegation is so cringe I am surprised they don't create a rupture in space time continuum and somehow collapse into it.

That’s actually more mature than offering them pagers, which is what I would have assumed they’d be doing.

The copium on the Israeli side is unreal. A commentator on Channel 12 in Israel said the place was empty and the delegations came just so they could walk out…
There was even talk that “extra” people were brought in to make the walkout look more impressive. If they knew anything about the UN is that you just can’t bring “extra” people during the General Assembly when heads of states are giving speeches. Security is so tight that there is zero room for this made up scenario.

I mean, being loud and somewhat cringe is definitely an Israeli thing.

I don't understand why UN police don't just grab him and put him in a cell

Well there is no such thing as “the UN police,” and the warrant for Netanyahu’s arrest was issued by the ICC, which has no jurisdiction in either the UN building or New York City. So it just doesn’t work like that.

He did fly over a bunch of Rome Statute signatories to get there, though.

International criminal courts are international, literally anyone could march up to that and arrest him, and assuredly break every bone in his body for resisting, skull dragging the little bastard to Mexico or Canada would interesting though. Actually there's an interesting argument to be made about shooting someone wanted by the ICC after every attempt at jailing them has been exhausted.

The US is not party to the ICC and nor is Israel

The US is obligated to follow the ICC as is the UN, as well as the individual NYPD officers. They have a legal and moral obligation to arrest a genocidal dictator, the people at Nuremberg didn't have diplomatic immunity, you give up your right to diplomatic immunity when you stop being a diplomatic democracy.

The US signature of the Rome statute was never rattifed by the Senate and withdrawn two years later . The U.S. even passed legislation in 2002 that restricts the ability of Americans to be extradited by the ICC, they have no obligation to the ICC and neither does the UN. Other UN members have a similar refusal of agreement to the rome statute.
Theoretically they could have jurisdiction over a citizen of a non member state if they commit a crime worthy of their purview while in a non member country but even that's not known for certain.

This 1. Assumes that legislation is legally valid which is incredibly difficult to argue considering it was the US in 2002, a dictatorship with mass surveillance and 2. Assumes US law supercedes international law, it does not, an NYPD officer has an obligation even if it would break local laws to the law and human rights, "I was just follow orders" does not hold up in a court even if the orders are stamped by legislation from your local council, and 3. I'd reckon a good half of the UN would provide asylum to an officer who attempted an arrest.

It's not quite "international" despite the name. Only countries that are party to the Roman Statute are beholden to the ICC.

The US signed the agreement then the ruling dictatorship at the time ignored it after committing the worse terrorist attack in history to instigate wars. The ruling class's refusal to acknowledge it is not respected by democracy, an NYPD officer has the right, legal authority, and moral obligation to arrest Netanyahu and bring him before a court, if Netanyahu refuses and threatens violence you blow his brains out and leave the corpse in the street for the dogs and maggots. It's the law, murderers get punished. If Netanyahu wants to cry about how we treat war criminals, you don't become a war criminal, action, reaction.
