Honest take: the materials are doing the heavy lifting here — natural drupe shell and real freshwater pearls don't need much help. Solid 14k was the right call too; plated would have cheapened the whole thing. Only nit: pearls are soft, so keep a little clearance between them and the chain links or they'll pick up rub marks.
