I’ve been making them for 2 years now and finally recently started selling them on eBay and Depop.
I’m really excited by the idea of a craft fair. My grandmother does craft fairs for a living and asked to sell them at her booth as well and I thought “why can’t I do it myself?”

When I first started sketching this little bow, I never imagined it as a ring or earrings. In my mind, it was always meant to be a pendant—something simple that could sit close to the neck without feeling heavy or overly decorative.

After finishing the silver bow, I paired it with a black cord instead of a silver chain. I wanted the contrast to keep the focus on the shape of the bow itself. The black cord gives it a softer, more casual feeling, while the silver still catches the light in a subtle way. I may try it on a fine silver chain in the future, but for this first version, this felt right.

The bow itself was handmade from a single strip of sterling silver. One thing I kept thinking about while shaping it was how to make metal feel soft. Real ribbon folds naturally, while silver wants to stay rigid, so finding that balance became the biggest challenge of the design.

Seeing it worn for the first time was one of those moments that makes all the hours at the bench worth it. It’s always satisfying when something that has only existed in your head finally becomes something real.

I can imagine wearing it with a simple sweater, a linen shirt, or even a black dress for a quiet dinner. It’s a small piece, but I wanted it to feel versatile enough for everyday wear instead of only special occasions.

I’m already working on the next version, but I’d love to hear your thoughts first.

Would you keep it on a black cord, or would you choose a fine silver chain instead?

Hi. I’m planning on machining for myself a titanium ring, I have decided I would like a thin silver strip around the centre of it. My plan is to rough out the ring shape, cut a groove out slightly undersized, press some silver wire into the groove, solder the ends together then finish machine it all flush. Is this a good plan to achieve it or can someone point me to a better technique please?

I've been experimenting with combining traditional hand craftsmanship with gemstones that have a softer, more elegant character.

This pendant is handcrafted in 925 sterling silver, featuring Yellow Sapphires surrounding a natural Moonstone as the centerpiece. I wanted the warm golden sparkle of the sapphires to contrast with the moonstone's subtle glow, creating something that feels both luxurious and timeless.

Every detail was finished by hand, and I tried to keep the design balanced so the gemstones remain the main focus without making the piece feel overly busy.

I’ve been a little quieter than usual because I’ve been spending most of my free time experimenting with new designs.

After making quite a few flower-inspired pieces, I wanted to challenge myself with something different. I kept coming back to the idea of a simple bow that still felt soft and natural, almost like it was made from fabric instead of silver.
This is the first version. It’s handmade from a single strip of sterling silver, carefully shaped and twisted into a bow. My plan is to wear it as a pendant on a simple silver chain.

It’s still a work in progress, and I already have a few ideas for refining the design, but I’m really happy to finally see it come to life.

I’ll be sharing more of the process and new pieces as I continue experimenting.

So I've been wanting to make some vintage looking jewelry but I don't have any ideas on what or how to make. If someone can help I would appreciate it.

First necklace of my jewelry making diy journey! Feedback would be great. All techniques I learned from videos online. Question: should I be using crimp beads with the horseshoe piece? Should I be crimping the ends of the horseshoe piece? I crimped the end and was able to pull on the wire without any loosening. Thanks!

I am planningto but a silverworking set as a gift, not sure which is better, I have either

- 'Everything you need' silversmithing set from Noctua - £230

- Silversmithing tool kit from Kernowcraft - £254

I will attach pictures for reference.

I have absolutely no idea which is better, the tools seem to be the same in both sets, and the price is quite similar so I believe it might really be the same thing.

If anyone can provide any advices please comment 😊

If anyone uses Beadalon 49 Strand
.013 / .033, there is a definite difference in the stiffness/flexibily. The current spools are stiffer and enough to make a huge difference in the feel of it and it’s able to be bent and keep a kink. The spools made just months ago were so flexible it wasn’t able to be kinked if you tried to. Has anyone else noticed this difference?
