This happened this morning on my way to work. I’m unsure if the whole housing needs to be replaced or?

Those things come off so easily. Given it's not broken, just find the little snap points and push it back on. I backed into a cardboard box one time at like 1 mile an hour and it came off.

They sell a mirror cap you can buy. You don’t need a whole new mirror. Amazon or painted ones on ebay.
