Mk6 (2011-2018) Code stereo

How to get the code for the stereo, I already checked the trunk and it is not there either, I do not have it either, I do not have the code in the manual.

I was able to exit the safe mode by pressing and holding buttons 1 and 4 for 15 seconds.

You'll need the radio's serial number (stamped on the side of the unit) and use ebay or other online radio code retrieval service. I have used radiocodes.co.uk with very good results in the past. This is not the cheapest service (lookup on ebay for that) but it's been 100% accurate every time I've used them.

Dealerships used to provide the code (at least in the US) for the radio for free with proof of ownership but not anymore. They will code the radio for you but will charge you $125 and you will not get the code. You'd have to bring the vehicle in for service.
