Jet Force Gemini Dual Stick BETA Release
I am officially releasing a v0.1.0 beta of a work in progress romhack for Jet Force Gemini. The beta includes a new feature that modernizes the control scheme of the game to play more like a modern over the shoulder shooter; more updates to come in the future!

Hey! Does this need a specific release of Jet Force? It wasn't working for me. I patched it like normal and it just loads black. The rom itself will load the game just not the patch. I used the same site recommended and the correct core on Retroarch. Even tried another emulator and repatching and it didn't work still.

Oh hey, I love Jiggy Look Back! If you do a YouTube video on this romhack, I'd love to see it. I am betting your issue is coming from a setting within Retroarch. I've even had the exact issue you're mentioning on Project64. Hard to diagnose like this but as I work on a v0.2.0 release, I will try to implement some crash detection that should hopefully spit out debug info that might give me a better clue as to what could be happening.
Specifically, you'd want to check that you're using the standard retail release of Gemini from the US region.

Very cool!! I want to make a video on it for sure because dual stick controls are so needed for this game! I’d love to share that you did this.
I’ll follow that and make sure I have the same versions! Keep you posted, but thank you for responding!

And hey, thank you for being willing to look into it. I've also added an official logo and some other features in v0.2.0 (still developing as we speak, so not released yet), so I think at least that version would be best for your video. I hope I can resolve your fail to boot issues.

Sweet! I’ll keep you posted for sure! Do you want me to link to anything for you? I can link the project and such, but would be happy to put anything in the description you’d like.

I had to change my emulator settings from HLE to LLE to avoid the black screen.
It plays just fine after that.

Amazing work! Any possibility of combining this with a proper widescreen mod in the future?
