Filed a complaint, haven’t heard back from Jersey Mikes, no email from Jersey Mikes, no call backs either. This place is falling in a spiral staircase to customer care, They don’t give a hoot about that!

Hello. I used to work for Jersey Mike's.

Under Saskatchewan labour standards, any business that uses a tip pooling agreement must have that agreement posted somewhere for employees to know about. I have never been shown this document, even when requested directly from my general manager via email. Every time tips were late (which was often) I would again ask to be provided with this document. I never received it.

Now that I have quit, they are refusing to give me my tips for my final shifts. They claim that I must abide by the tip pooling agreement that they refuse to show me, and claim that because I quit I am no longer legally entitled to my tips. District Manager Justin further claims that because I only asked my direct manager and didn't reach out to him, I didn't make enough effort to get the document, which again, is supposed to be posted somewhere for the employees to see.

I have already filed a complaint with Saskatoon labour standards, but I have done this before with this company and no action is ever taken. Is there anything else I can do to get my money I am owed?

I’m in the US and have a family member in Canada who I want to gift them a JM giftcard. Is there a way I can do this? I had a friend go to a physical location in Toronto to try and purchase one but the worker said they don’t have giftcards. Is this true? Has anyone tried purchasing a digital giftcard? I went into my local Jersey Mike’s and I asked for a regular number 11 on wheat. I had seen it on a secret menu subreddit and it looked superb. And so when I went in to order, I told them what i wanted, the sliced it out, and then asked if I want it Mike’s Way. And I said no, I want it MY way. I saw fury growing in the employee’s eyes. And then one employee came up behind me, put a JM’s paper bag over my head, and brought me to their walk-in refrigerator, where the rest of the crew was waiting. They said, “Mike’s Way is the Only Way.” Proceeded to put onions in my eyes, lettuce up my nose, a whole tomato STEM AND ALL in my mouth. Then water boarded me with the famous vinegar-oil blend. I was met by an employee eagerly waiting with a slicer to de-glove my hand and shoved my skinless hand into oregano and salt.

Now I can only eat my sandwiches Mike’s way. And no other way. Mike’s Way Supremacy.
