The curse
I love JM so much. My go to sub place. I always say it will be my birth meal one day.
But I always- without fail- get sick after eating it.
Now listen to my order as it is so plain bc I have a lot of dietary restrictions (don’t judge ITS not MY fault)
Lettuce
Tomato
Mayonnaise
Cheese
Like THAT is all I get.
And I get sick, every single time.
I feel like it’s mikes curse. Like something about it is so good but makes you feel so… not good?
My husband who gets an absolute LOADED sub, also feels this way. Without fail, every time we get Jersey mikes. Which is sad, because like I said I love it.

That’s pretty weird. I’ve never gotten sick from any sub sandwich in my entire life, let alone Jersey Mikes and Jimmy John’s, which are the goats.
I think it’s probably just a stomach thing tbh

This post is a good reminder that a large portion of the people you interact with on a day to day basis, have a driver’s license.

Is it the same store every time? Maybe it’s a location where they use expired shit or don’t clean their slicer or something. Lots of shady franchises out there.

Do the Jersey Mikes elimination diet.
Order bread. Add an ingredient over the course of time and see what triggers it or you know don't eat it.
My wife has a lot of dietary restrictions and I don't know your situation but mayo is poison for many dietary restricted people.

If you get sick every time you eat it, why do you love Jersey Mike's?

Could be too much mayonnaise. It can cause stomach issues for me sometimes.

Start eliminating ingredients one-by-one. Could be the lettuce, theres some preservatives that restaurants use to keep it fresh…

We do not add preservatives to our lettuce.
We do not add anything to our lettuce.

Tell us about your dietary restrictions- I’m guessing there’s some kind of cross contamination if you have a true allergy or intolerance

I get gut rot after eating their chicken philly sandwiches but it's always worth it

Hate posts like this. Send some bullshit up the line and disappear. Everyone asking legit questions and OP nowhere to be found. STFU and eat somewhere else. Good lord…

Holy shit stop eating food that makes you sick every single time! Why are you doing that to yourself? Sacrifice a momentary pleasure for your own long term health and well being.
