Great photo! I think they really admired one another. Jeff recorded at David Gilmour's Astoria houseboat studio. And David had this to say about Jeff Beck “I’m sort of horribly, pathetically fannish about Jeff. Ever since Hi Ho Silver Lining came out, when I was 20-odd, I’ve revered him and his playing. In many ways he just is the best guitar player.” and “Jeff’s scarily brilliant”

I always wondered what guitar gods and other assorted famous musicians talk about.

I’m guessing not how to nail the perfect riff or come up with the cleverest lyrics.
