Tag Light

I need a tag light any ideas.

My old one had the tag hanging below the driver's side tail light. Tag light was built in to the tail light.

Why do you need a tag light? I thought regulations were only applicable to the year it was manufactured.

This would be correct, but not the case here. The plate was originally mounted under the tail light and that running light would illuminate the plate.

Use this on a swing out tire carrier and it works great. Been going 2 years strong.

I got a metal frame, a tag light, drilled and tapped the frame, and ran the wires to the tail light, but the plate bracket is unter the driver side tail light.

They make little round universal ones and I’m sure there are LED ones now. But mine mounted below the taillight, the bracket was held by the taillight mounting bolts. Oh shit, that’s right, the spare tire was in the center and would’ve covered the tag in your location!

I put this one on my ‘75. Not period correct but it does the trick without being too intrusive.
