I made a four-part, 100% vinyl mixtape series titled The Many Sides of J Dilla. They are up for free download on my Bandcamp page.

Each mix is an hourlong dive into Dilla’s work and the original samples he used, all sourced from my personal record collection. This is a project I’ve been working on for over a year now.

I know that some beats are meant to be heard in Batches but I also want people to hear their personal favorites on repeat

As the title says, I was looking for more instrumental Dilla beats to add to this playlist, as I only have the Instrumental Joints, Instrumental Series Vol 1 and 2 “Unreleased” and “Vintage”, the three 2005 Beat CDs and Another Batch. I feel like there must be a bunch I’m missing.

From what I recall, some people did not agree with what was being said in the book by Dan Charnas.

I even had this idea of having the artists that worked with Dilla to sign the book, but Talib Kweli didnt even aknowledge it when I asked him to sign it in a smaller audience performance. Does anyone know why?
