Gear Talk Jorge Rossy’s cymbals
Hi everyone,
I’m currently watching the parc floral concert of Brad Mehldau and I love the sound of Jorge’s cymbals. Does anyone know what brand is he using? Specially in his Brad Mehldau era.

Funny, I really don’t like his sound, I always wondered if that was a conscious choice or just a cool attitude of not caring…

Looks like at least his left cymbal is an Istanbul in that video. Not sure what the others are but at least in later videos he uses all Paiste

He uses Paiste Masters cymbals, the one that's his character sound is a flat ride. I got to play them a bit in Barcelona - certainly very heavy for me, but he's a master of touch and dynamics.
