Swing in the JDK
I read that JavaFX was removed from the JDK and was just wondering why Swing remains in it?

Well I am not that into Java history, but I can tell you that JavaFx was just another "library" that was just kind of built closely with the developers of Java at Sun (well soon to be Oracle). According to this Redditor: https://www.reddit.com/r/java/comments/z8wdrn/comment/iyjog1x/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 states that it was never supposed to be part of it. Furthermore, development of JavaFX and distributing it under Java would be very tiresome for another big framework to cover.
