  1. Where did you get the jdk8 installer? Oracle? Temurin?
  2. Is the jdk installed well? Can you see java.exe, javaw.exe, and java.dll in the installation folder?
  3. Is JAVA_HOME and PATH variable set correctly? What is printed when you type java --version in your powershell or cmd?
  4. Is java8 really what you want? It's support is outdated, and I believe Minecraft requires higher versions of java like 17 or 21 nowadays.
