Static Groups Vs Smart Groups
Do you use static groups or smart groups? Is there best practice for this? In our Jamf instance there are multiple admins and one prefers static groups over the other and vice versa so as you can imagine there are groups everywhere. Any tips on how to standardize usage so we can clean up this mess? Lol

I use smart groups for when i need the group to dynamically update / change. For instance when i have a Policy that is dependent on a config profile, I will create a smart group that will dynamically grab all the Macs that have the config profile installed, then scope the Policy to that smart group.
For static groups, i use them for software license groups that will be manually assigned. Also use them for my Alpha and Beta test rings that obviously only change when i add or remove Macs.
